So I think hanging with and being an honorary member of the Robertson's is just what I need.  I feel in love with the show and turned my boss onto it last season.  I think that I loved it so much because the personalities where so similar to my own.

A little about myself.  I am a 38 year old preschool teacher, yes preschool teacher.  Not only am I one of  approximately 2% of all preschool teachers that are male, but  I even look like a Robertson, and they still hired me.  I have had many jobs over the years but was a bartender for about 10 years and finally went back to school and graduated in 2008 with a bachelor's in early childhood development from Central Michigan University.  I am in my third year of teaching and it just happens to be at my alma mater.  I teach at a lab school at the university, so not only do I have a bunch of 3-5 year olds, I also have a bunch of college students.  I have a 10 year old step-son and a 3 year old of my own along with a beautiful wife.

As you can see I force my family to be Bulls fans....not really, my wife is actually a Pistons fan.

My family before we went to 70's night at a minor league hockey game!

One of the things that I am most proud of is my fundraising for Special Olympics Michigan.  Each February I raise, what I consider to be a lot, of money for SOMI.  I do this by doing a polar plunge into one of the nastiest ponds around.  The pond is pretty much stagnant water that is full of goose crap and after the first few jump and the water gets stirred up the oders start.  I have been doing the plunge annually since it's first year in Mt. Pleasant (2007) and have personally raised around $23,000 dollars for SOMI.  A cool part about the plunge is that you get to dress up in costumes.  I have made my own costumes every year and have been Cool Blue PBR guy, a mermaid, a bobber, a hot air balloon (that unfortunately blew apart because it was so windy), a red white and blue popsicle, and a person showering.  In 2011 I had the opportunity to do the plunge as remote on a news cast.  I figure the family will probably want to make a trip and join me this year!

A fun thing that I enjoy doing is going to Beaver Island each march to participate in there annual St. Patricks day games.  I think the slideshow below will really pretty much sum it up with a few pictures.  There is a frozen fish toss that I had finished 2nd in all but one year and a team cart race among other things.  And yes, that is a gas powered blender.

I know that the Robertsons are portrayed as eating unusually things and so I would just like to share a photo from a few years ago on one of my vacations on Beaver Island.

No babies where actually cooked in this photo...Oliver was just relaxing while  I unpacked the food!

I guess my last story I will share is probably my most embarrassing.  I am going to give you a short summary and save the more detailed story for when we meet in person.  I was actually on Who Wants to be a Millionaire.  I had made it to the 5,000 dollar question, (the one where you can't leave with anything less than 5,000, first milestone), had all of my lifelines and I went for it.....well as you may guess I was not so lucky.  Left with nothing.  They don't even pay for your way out.  At least now if you bomb you at least win 1,000 dollars.  That being said, I thought I was entertaining enough.

With that, I am going to leave you a slide show that will hopefully make up your mind on picking me to be an honorary member of the Robertson family!

Oh I lied, there is one more.  I thought I would put up my performance from Universal Studios last year when I was at the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) annual conference.  There was a live band karaoke and yes, i did Ice Ice Baby.......sorry for making you watch this.
